The Weathersfield Service Group had a tremendous response to our annual Thanksgiving Basket food drive. We received more than enough turkeys, gravy, stuffing, squash, potatoes, pie crusts, pie fillings, and vegetables to fill baskets for twenty families, as well as make considerable donations to our local food shelves.

The competition between classes was tough, but Mrs. Hughes had the top winning class. They celebrated with Pizza Chef and lots of ice cream, sprinkles and cool whip!
We thank each of you for your overwhelming generosity and look forward to another fun competitive event in the future!

Weathersfield Service Group is off to an excellent start for the 2011-2012 school year. Currently we have 12 very excited students and the new advisor is Deb Gurney, with Cathy Karaffa and Erica Yuengling helping as well. Hurricane Irene left a huge impact on Vermont, but WSG and our community was there to help our fellow Vermonters. We gathered donations and made a delivery to Woodstock Food Shelf, after our community's needs were met, and the welcome and appreciation was overwhelming.

After someone damaged Hoisington Field in Perkinsville, WSG stepped in again with snacks, shovels, 4-wheelers with trailers and, despite a little rain, helped spread some topsoil and the field will be ready for grass seed and playing soccer again in no time!
